Having a printing form with a perfect concentric surface, ensures uniform printing pressures and helps to eliminate many of the defects which cause in-consistent print quality.
Although print forms are produced with high accuracy and very low tolerances unfortunately inconsistencies in the surface occur.
To detect these inconsistencies before you have engraved the printing form saves valuable time and money. Detection also prevents uncertainties and unnecessary discussions with your customers and print form providers. You can now eliminate the inconsistencies in your print forms by using our Perfect PI® application.
What is the Perfect PI Master® and what does Perfect PI® do?
The Perfect PI Master® is a unique patented surface measurement and control system build in a single device. Perfect PI ®scans, detects and quantifies any out-of-round deviations in cylinders (steel, metal, copper), adapters, and sleeves. This includes flat-spots, which can cause printing problems, once the cylinder or sleeve is installed in the press.
How quick is the Perfect PI Master®?
A cylinder of 1000mm in length and 500mm in Circumference is scanned in only two minutes. After the scan Perfect PI® generates a user defined report which displays the measured values and an image of the scanned surface.
